We’ve got your backCode-4 Counseling LLC was founded to support the people and organizations who serve and protect our communities each day. Owned and operated by Dr. Sara Metz and retired Chief of Police Nick Metz, Code-4 Counseling provides individual, couples and family counseling, customized consulting and training sessions for emergency responders and front-line healthcare providers across the state of Colorado and beyond.

Counseling

Our licensed professional staff specialize in working with emergency responders and front-line healthcare providers on post-critical incident trauma, relationship and communication issues, managing stress, identifying healthy coping skills, job burnout and even retirement planning.
No long waiting lists and no need to fear going to a counselor for the first time. Code-4 provides a positive therapeutic experience that leaves you feeling hopeful with a renewed energy for you and those who matter most.

Training and Consulting
For Emergency Responder Agencies and Healthcare OrganizationsCode-4 provides a variety of POST-certified training programs, consulting services, and specializes in comprehensive wellness training and consulting services for law enforcement, fire, and healthcare agencies. Working in partnership with agencies, Dr. Sara and Nick develop customized peer support programs, provide mental health and wellness checks, improve critical incident response, and host in-service training on stress and wellness to champion the needs of front-line responders and healthcare professionals.
Dr. Sara and Nick are also available for in-person or virtual speaking engagements at conferences, professional development trainings and panel presentations.

It's A Calling Foundation
It’s a Calling Foundation provides low-cost therapy services for the first responder and military community from Master’s Candidates supervised by Code 4 Counseling licensed professionals.
